The Try Guys and WEBTOON Team Up for Souper Sick, a New Webcomic and Video Collaboration

Launching on July 12, “Souper Sick” was created in collaboration with WEBTOON Creator Shen and artist Valery

The Try Guys are trying something new…making a webcomic on WEBTOON! YouTubers and digital creators The Try Guys and WEBTOON Entertainment, a leading global entertainment company and home to some of the world’s largest storytelling platforms, are teaming up for an exclusive Try Guys webcomic and behind-the-scenes video. The new webcomic, “Souper Sick,” will launch exclusively on WEBTOON’s English-language platform on July 12, along with a new Try Guys video on 2ndTry showing how the Guys brought the story to life on WEBTOON. The video will be available on The Try Guys YouTube channel on July 13.

“Souper Sick” is a three-episode webcomic created by The Try Guys’ founder Keith Habersberger and members Jonny Manganello and Kwesi James in collaboration with WEBTOON creator Shen (“Bluechair”) and artist Valery. In “Souper Sick,” Try Guys Keith, Jonny, and Kwesi embark on a mission to craft their own webcomic. Except there’s one problem: their castmate Zach, the ultimate comic fan, is sick! The webcomic hilariously chronicles their journey, capturing every moment of their creative process as they bring the story to life.

Fans also get to see the Try Guys’ behind-the-scenes antics as they brainstorm the plot, develop their characters, crack jokes, and figure out what makes a great webcomic. Alongside the WEBTOON team, The Try Guys are joined by Ingrid Ochoa, creator of the massively popular WEBTOON series “The Kiss Bet.”

“WEBTOON is our latest obsession, so it was only a matter of time before we tried to make our own webcomic,” said The Try Guys’ founder Zach Kornfeld. “Going into this, we were skeptical about our abilities as comics creators, but it turns out that webcomic storytelling works with The Try Guys’ process in a way we didn’t expect. Our day at WEBTOON proved to us that if we can create a digital comic, it’s true that anyone really can!”

“The Try Guys have an incredible passion for storytelling, with a curiosity, creativity, and ‘game-for-anything’ attitude that instantly connects with digital audiences,” said David S. Lee, Head of WEBTOON. “We’re thrilled to help the guys try their hand at webcomics, feel like we’ve captured their magic for storytelling across different formats with ‘Souper Sick’ project. We can’t wait for our readers and fans of The Try Guys to see what they’ve cooked up.”

Some of the most exciting names in pop culture have worked with WEBTOON to bring their stories to webcomics. Recent collaborations include series and projects with names like HYBE artists BTS, TXT, and ENHYPEN, Lil Uzi Vert, Hayley Kiyoko, Kevin Kreider, Ava Max, GAYLE, MAY-A, and others. WEBTOON has also worked with marquee comic publishers like DC, Archie Comics, Marvel and more.

The Try Guys are an online entertainment group and media production company with over 8 million YouTube subscribers. They are known for their willingness to test anything in hilarious and adventurous challenges, tackling everything from bizarre food tasting to pushing their physical limits in outrageous feats of strength. The group has also recently launched a new boutique subscription streaming service called 2ndTry.
