In his popular column series “Comic Book Confidential,” Chris discussed The Flash’s ill-fated marriage and Superman’s sexuality in the 1970s, among other deep-dives into the lore and meaning of fictional characters, as well as writing a 12-part study of EC Comics, part historical overview, part analysis of the socio-political impact of their ground-breaking tales about racism, gender issues, and conformity.
