Coming off the events of Sons of Fate origins, the “silent warrior”, after years on his forged journey has arrived in his mentors native land of Japan. His quest, now almost complete: to reunite a legacy left by his master.. But it is in fact not the end of his quest, but just the beginning. The society itself is being torn apart from infighting between the bureaucrats, the influx of outside cultures, and a new foreign religion all threaten not only upheave the budding Tokugawa Shogunate after quelling the decades of the bloody warring states, the Japanese society itself.
Japan, sitting on a powder keg where only a small spark could be the igniter that brings the whole society down.
Created, written and drawn industry artist Jean- Paul Deshong, ( comic artist with credentials from for Dynamite Entertainment , Zenescope Entertainment, and Image Comics), now independent comic artist. Sons of Fate is his love letter to the comics genre based off his love of comics, anime, and directly influenced from miniseries/ book Shogun and the manga/anime Rurouni Kenshin.
Sons of Fate Legacy continues the story perseverance through sheer will and its implications, through the lens of the political intrigue of the Japanese society at he end of the warring states, and the beginning of the mighty Tokugawa Shogunate. The story of Sons of Fate itself tells a fictionalized truth of why Japan closed its doors to the western world for 200 years, and not what we were told historically.
Sons of Fate series is critically acclaimed and loved by critics and fans alike with Sons of Fate: Origins ( Volume 1) being inducted into the Kyoto International Manga Museum in Kyoto, Japan. A prestigious award only held by a handful of western comics.
It’s follow up volume, Sons of Fate, Legacy Deluxe Edition is the current campaign available on Kickstarter.
This deluxe edition is an enhanced version of the story with extra story content including new artwork, story content, and merchandise all exclusive and only available to the Kickstarter community.
