DC Multiverse Batmobile (DC Rebirth) Review – McFarlane Toys Store Exclusive First Look
Introduction
The DC Multiverse Batmobile (DC Rebirth) has finally arrived, and collectors in the U.S. are buzzing with excitement. Originally teased back in 2020 as a small build-a-figure Hot Wheels–scale collectible, fans have been waiting for McFarlane Toys to deliver the full 7-inch scale version. While this McFarlane Toys Store Exclusive doesn’t feature lights or sounds, it makes up for it with design, sculpt, and collector-focused details that will stand out on any shelf.

Wheels and Engine
The Batmobile features rolling wheels with a strong tread design. The 2020 version hinted at a V12 engine, while this new release showcases a sculpt more in line with a V6. Some collectors may wish the engine was painted instead of molded in marble-like plastic, but the sculpting detail still adds depth.

Button-Activated Canopy and Interior

One of the most exciting features is the button-activated canopy. With a simple press, the canopy pops open to reveal a spacious cockpit. The interior sculpting is simple but effective, allowing for multiple Batman figures to fit without issue. McFarlane is also rereleasing a Rebirth Batman with a soft goods cape alongside this Batmobile, making the fit even smoother for collectors who prefer fabric over plastic.
Detachable Front Bumper

The front bumper is fully detachable, adding another layer of interactivity. Whether removed or clipped in place, the bumper feels secure thanks to the locking tabs underneath. It’s a small touch, but one that adds value for collectors who appreciate functional details.

Rear Lights and Turbine

The rear sculpt includes painted tail lights and a turbine packed with molded texture. While the lights don’t function, the sculpt still creates the sense of motion and power. It’s a faithful nod to the Batmobile’s comic design that balances cost with presentation.
Batman Fit Test

The cockpit is large enough to seat different Batman figures without much trouble. The upcoming rerelease of Rebirth Batman with a soft goods cape is the ideal pairing, as the fabric cape allows the canopy to close smoothly. This small but important update ensures collectors get a display-ready figure to match their new Batmobile.

Collector Showcase
Beyond its features, the Batmobile shines in toy photography. Scenes set in the Batcave or posed alongside Batman highlight just how well this vehicle translates from page to product. Collectors will find plenty of inspiration to create dynamic displays.

Personal Thoughts
As someone who imported the Batmobile early, I was eager to finally get this in hand. At first, I was disappointed that it lacked lights and sounds, but many McFarlane Batmobiles are designed without those features. The design itself is solid, even if the engine sculpt doesn’t replicate the V12 look of the 2020 version. The plastic frame does attract dust and smudges, and I would have preferred painted wheels and engine details instead of marble-like plastic. Still, the cockpit space, canopy function, and overall presence make this a strong release.
Overall, the DC Multiverse Batmobile (DC Rebirth) is a cool addition to the line and a must-have for collectors. Expect this McFarlane Toys Store Exclusive to launch for U.S. customers in late August to early September, alongside the updated Rebirth Batman with a soft goods cape.
