Diamond Select Toys Invincible Deluxe Mauler Twin Figure Review
Let’s talk about the Mauler Twin from Diamond Select Toys, because if you’re a fan of Invincible, this guy is going to take up some serious shelf space.
Straight Out of the Show
Right off the bat, the design nails the animated look. This figure feels like it stepped straight out of the TV show, with that bold, clean animation-style sculpt that really brings the character to life. You look at him and immediately think, “Yeah, that’s the Mauler Twin.”
Size Matters
One of the biggest wins here? The size. He’s got that chunky, imposing build that makes him stand out among the other Invincible figures. And when you line him up next to them, he scales beautifully, which is always a make-or-break factor in collecting.
Want to see how he stacks up against the others? Check out my YouTube Short size comparison where I break down exactly how he fits in with the rest of the Invincible lineup.
Paint & Articulation
The paintwork is solid—nothing sloppy, no weird factory mistakes. He’s got the right color tones that match the show’s aesthetic, which is exactly what you want.
Articulation? It’s good, but not amazing. He moves well, but a little extra articulation could have really taken this figure up a notch. Not a dealbreaker, but it’s something that could have made posing him even more fun.
Accessories – Because What’s a Mauler Without an Extra Mauler?
This is where things get interesting. He comes with:
- An alternate head—so when you pick up a second figure, you get the full Mauler Twins effect.
- Weapons & hands—good variety, nothing over-the-top, but they get the job done.
Would I have preferred a two-pack? Absolutely. But from a business standpoint, I get it—Diamond Select made it so you have to buy two. Not ideal, but at least they included the extra head so you’re not left high and dry.
Final Thoughts
If you’re a fan of the Invincible comic or show, this one is an easy pickup. The animated style, solid scale, and good paintwork make it a worthy addition to your collection. Could the articulation be better? Sure. Would a two-pack have been nice? Absolutely. But even with that, this figure holds its own and looks fantastic with the rest of the Invincible line.
