Eaglemoss Hero Collector Ghostbusters Build the Ecto One Issue 05 and Issue 06 Review

Today in the Toyverse we take a journey back into NYC before the quarantine to examine the car that made catches ghosts popular. That is right, we are looking at the Eaglemoss Hero Collector line. And issues five and six of the Build the Ecto-1 round out the month of March. Every issue brings excitement with this line. Also dread and fear of screwing up the pieces crosses my mind as well. Luckily Eaglemoss makes it pretty easy. So let’s not waste any more time here and talk about both pieces that help make up the Ecto-1.

Stage 05: The Gear Box

So the gearbox to the Ecto One is simple enough to put together. Being honest, I have no idea what the gearbox does. After reading a bit, I see why it’s important. It has a nice metal weight and feel to it, and once again wasn’t too hard to put together. One of things that is fascinating to me about building this incredible car is how you become a bit more estimate with each piece. Overall simple enough and once completed, the gear box leads us to our next step.

Stage 06: Left Engine Block, Dipstick, & Ignition Wire Junction

If you thought I knew nothing about the gear box, the three different pieces that make up stage six pale in comparison. I take that back, I understand the dipstick and that is about it. This set took a little more time to put together, but it was a fun challenge. All three pieces are not cheaply made, and with the exception of the dipstick, have a nice metal mold and finish to them. To kind of piggy back off of the previous statements about the gear box, I will say that Eaglemoss gives you a chance to slowly become a gear head even if you are not after that.

Overall I enjoyed the builds for the month of March. I have already received April’s and look forward to that build as well. I want to say that the inclusion of the bonus articles in the magazine are a fun treat as well. learning about Slimer and Harold Ramis was a fun treat. Enjoy the video review below.
