McFarlane Toys Cyberpunk 2077 V Action Figure Review
Today in the Toyverse, we dive into the future. A future where people known as Cyber-Punks rock out. And if I try to add anything else to that sentence I would be guessing at best. Now once the game comes out, I am sure all my questions will be answered, but in the meantime we have some awesome figures to talk about. I have already covered Johnny Silverhand, so today we look at the McFarlane Toys Cyberpunk 2077 V action figure. Before we go any further, once again, I would like to extend a special thank you to McFarlane Toys for allowing Comic Crusaders to review this figure. With that being said, let’s look at the mysterious V and rock out with the review.
Appearance:
So how do you talk about a figure that is based on a character from an I[ that hasn’t been released yet? The answer my friends is simple, you Google it. Then you watch trailers, and early game play footage. And based on everything I have seen, McFarlane Toys did an excellent job of translating this character from pixels into plastic form. V’s head sculpt looks terrific. The hair is designed great, and the face has tons of detail on it. The upper body looks great too. The details on the jacket are just stunning. The designs on the back came out really great, and coat itself, has a very nice texture and sculpt to it. Besides the face, the upper body really catches your eye, and shows the McFarlane sculpt in full effect/ the lower body has a nice look to the pants, and the shoes are super cool.
Articulation:
So how does the articulation stack up with V? Short answer, really great! He has all the bells and whistles you have come to see in McFarlane’s revamped articulation. It’s something that i think is done very well, and works great. He has a neck that can move in multiple directions, double jointed elbows and knees, and a two system upper body diaphragm joints. The arms have the butterfly joints and move in all directions as well. The rotation and hinge at the feet and hands give a wide variety of options. And the legs can kick forwards and backwards, as well as performing the splits. For me, the value here is two parts. You have a great sculpt that doesn’t get beat up by clunky joints that take away from that. And the second part is the value factor. For under 20 bucks, you are getting great articulation that isn’t normally found at that price tag. So for me, its a winner!
Accessories:
So for such a new character out int he world, what can you pack V with? Well quite a bit actually. V is packed in with some cool bonus items that are a ton of fun to have him interact with. For starters you get a pistol with a great amount of detail. Then you get a really cool futuristic gun. I don’t know how powerful it is, but it looks great in both V’s hands, and Johnny Silverhand’s. The sculpt on this thing is really cool. Then you get this bright pink sword that can slash through cyber-punks with style. Even though it is all pink, it still has a lot of sculpted detail on it. And of course you get a cool base to stand him on. So its a big “W” in the win column with this guy in terms of bonus items.
Final Verdict:
So is V worth your money? Does Gordon Ramsey know how to cook? If you answered yes to the second question, you have your answer. V is under 20 bucks, so the short answer is yes. For a character I know little about, I think he is worth it. Even if you don’t use him for Cyber-Punk 2077 reasons, he makes a great bad guys for some of the other McFarlane properties you may own. But beyond that, for such an unknown character, he has a ton of love put into him by the McFarlane team. And for me, that speaks volumes. I think video game collectors would do themselves a disservice by not having this guy int heir collection. Well that is going to do it for me, so enjoy the pictures, thank you for stopping by, and stay safe out there.
