McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Batgirl: Art of The Crime Action Figure with Build-A Rebirth Batmobile Figure Review

The Toyverse travels back to Gotham City, as I take a look at the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Batgirl: Art of The Crime Action Figure with Build-A Rebirth Batmobile Figure. Once again, a very special thank you to McFarlane Toys for making today’s review possible. So without further wait, let’s talk about Batgirl.

Appearance:

Now this version of Batgirl(costume wise) is one I am not too familar with, but based on the artwork it seems pretty on point. I love the grey, and it has some sculpting that helps bring out the suit. The head sculpt is good. Her face reminds me of a Elizabeth Perkins from the 90s, but hey thats me. Some people have complained about it, but sometimes I think people just want to complain to complain. For a 25 dollar figure, it doesn’t bother me. The hair is sculpted great, and lips and eyes are striking. Plus the mask is on point. As for the bat logo on the chest is concerned, its clean and big. As for the figure of this figure, it’s sleek and curvy. It’s a great female sculpt that is on point with the art. The gauntlets, belt, and boots all look great too.

Articulation:

Now in terms of articulation, Batgirl moves quite well. She has double jointed ankles and knees, a unique butterfly joint, and ball pegs for a upper and bottom diaphragm joint. It also has toe hinges and swivels at the ankles and hands. It will pose just fine. At the price point it works. It’s not garbage like some will tell you. And before I go further, I want to say 95 percent of collectors stick the figure on the shelf and do a few poses.  If you take the time this figure can do alot with the articulation. I was able to play around with this figure and even though the diaphragm area a little limited, it wasn’t horrible.

Accessories & Final Thoughts:

Now in terms of goodies, Batgirl comes with a gold batarang, grappling gun(which is different than the Batman one) Batmobile piece, display base, and trading card. Now at 25 smackers, if you feel cheated, that’s on you. I am happy with what is included and I think it works. Once again, the trading card is a cool feature. I think the inclusion of the card is a great way to learn more, and become a little more connected with the figure.

So is Batgirl worth your cold hard cash? I think so. She is a cool and essential Bat family member. The Cape on her is a fun addition, especially on how it comes out of the backpack. The articulation allows her to kick Gotham butt, and the accessories are more than enough for a figure given the price point. So if you get the chance, add her to your collection.
