McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Dark Knights Metal The Drowned Figure Review
Today in the Toyverse, we get to dive back into the negative Dark Multiverse of DC Comics with one of McFarlane Toys latest releases, The Drowned figure. This evil Atlantis inspired Batman is really cool looking. Before we go any further, on behalf of Comic Crusaders and myself, we would like to extends a very awesome thank you to McFarlane Toys for sending this figure over for review. With that out of the way, let’s dive into the Dark Multiverse and examine this awesome aquatic masterpiece!
When you look at this figure it’s pretty striking at first glance. Starting with the head, Bryce Wayne features a wonderful head sculpt. It comes splashing out of the page into plastic form in great form. The steampunk inspired cowl is a nice touch to see in plastic. The whole body looks great too. The sculpted necklace is fantastic. The costume looks great too. The blend of the seaweed style skirt, along with the black jacket, all look great, considering this is a 20 dollar figure. One other thing to point out, is the sculpted hair. The underwater hair flowing sculpt really does work well for this figure.
As far as articulation goes, Bryce Wayne features articulation similar to what we have seen with The Batman Who Laughs. She has soft body with the articulation underneath. This allows her to move side to side and forwards and backwards. She does have rotation at waist, and it flows very nice. The head can rotate side to side, and look up and down. The way the hair is sculpted doesn’t create too much issue with the head going up and down as well, which is nice. The arms go in and out, up and down, and have a bicep cut. The double bends at the elbows on arms are some of the most well crafted I have seen on mass retail action figure. And the ball hinges at the wrists allow for a full range of motion. The legs can do the splits, and kick forwards and backwards with no issues. The seaweed skirt does hinder the movement. The knees are double jointed, and the feet have ball hinges and feature toe articulation.
As for accessories, Bryce comes with a beautiful gold trident. It is very well sculpted and she can hold it in her hand. She also features the collectible card with beautiful artwork, and a figure stand to have the figure displayed. Overall, Bryce Wayne is a ruthless character, but a beautiful action figure. She poses well, and she looks stunning. And having her in the collection, now completes the main Dark Multiverse Justice League characters. If you collecting the Dark Multiverse characters, don’t sleep on her. Once again, a special thank you to McFarlane Toys. I hope you enjoyed the review, and I hope you enjoy the photos. Share your thoughts and let me know if you picked up this figure.
