McFarlane Toys Disney Mirrorverse 5 Inch Figure Collection Review

Today in the Toyverse, we take a look at some more Disney Mirrorverse figures, courtesy of McFarlane Toys. Previously I looked at the seven inch figures, this time we look at wave one of the five inch figures from this new video game franchise. So let’s dive in and examine each figure a little more.

Mickey:

This version of Mickey has a nice eye catching look to it. The colors are nice and vibrant, and the white, gold, and yellow blend well together. The magical effect that plugs into his hand is well done, and a nice addition for the character. The Mickey has a nice look to him sculpt wise, and the articulation works well for it designed for. Hinge arms that rotate, along with rotation at the hands, head, waist, and feet. Each figure is packed with a collector card that gives a bio along with stats for the character.

Sully:

This version of Sully is decked out in some high-tech gear, and the design I think works. The sculpt on the face is very stoic, but it does look like the character. His giant shield on his right arm looks good and can rotate. It also helps him keep his balance, as he is a chunky piece of plastic. The paint looks good, and its nice to see the purple spots across his body. He has rotation at the head, waist, and shield. The arms do hinge out and rotate around. Each figure is packed with a collector card that gives a bio along with stats for the character.

Goofy:

Goofy may be the most overall best in the line.  Not only does he look like Goofy, but the color choices work well. The browns, the yellows, the reds, and silvers work well with the design of the figure. Goofy comes with a huge boomerang, and although it looks great, it does seem a little big to me. But you can house the weapon in the back of Goofy. In terms of articulation the head is a ball peg that moves around in just about any direction you need it to. You have rotation at the waist, gauntlets, and feet. The arms are on hinges, can rotate, and the elbows feature a single bend. Each figure is packed with a collector card that gives a bio along with stats for the character.

Belle:

Belle by far is the most beautiful sculpt. The McFarlane team did an amazing job, and the character just turned out really great in plastic form. Belle’s costume came out tremendous, and the flower logo on the back looks great. Belle comes with a well sculpted staff with a rose in the middle. Getting the figure to hold it in certain positions is challenging, but it is still a nice add on. In terms of articulation, the head and neck are a single ball peg that allow good movement. The waist and boots rotate, and the arms have a single bend in the elbows. Each figure is packed with a collector card that gives a bio along with stats for the character.

Overall this is a fun figure line for both collectors and kids alike. The McFarlane team has translated the source material pretty good based on what I can see, and have made an action figure that works for both the collector and kids alike. Once again, a special thank you to the McFarlane team for sending this over, and if you want to learn more about this line, check out the information below.
