NECA Toys: TMNT The Mighty Metalhead Figure Review

I gave up on counting after 40, but YouTube has over 40 plus reviews on this guy, so what the hell am I am going to say about it after every Tom, Dick, and Harry has talked about it? I honestly have no clue, so let’s start the show, and dive in and find out more about Metalhead. I do dig the figure a ton, and I think NECA gets the polite golf clap for a job well done!

The head on this guy looks great, and the translation from animation to plastic is hotter than a blow torch in a microwave! The same rings true for the body, and from the feet to the sculpt of the body, everything is really well done. A cool feature is the chest that opens up. When opened, it allows the laser gun to plug in. The switch on the back flips up and down, but be careful to not let the figure fall down as it could break the switch.

The articulation isn’t mind blowing, but it works for a bulky robot mutant ninja turtle. The waist swivel and feet for me are stand out points of movement. As for what he is packed in with, Metalhead has a good amount of items from the drill bit, the vacuum, the laser gun, and multiple pairs of hands that indeed make him feel mighty. The weapon pieces just plug into the hand area, and the gun with wire are not hard to put in. So here is the bottom line, if you can find him, or if you pre-ordered him you will love this hunky plastic nostalgic creature. I do hope everyone is able to get one sooner rather than later.
