Sideshow and Artist Chris Sanders Team Up to Create New Artist Series Statues

Sideshow is excited to share news of an all newÂ collaborationÂ with celebrated animation writer, director, and cartoonistÂ Chris Sanders. Through this new partnership, Sideshow will produceÂ high-end collectible statuesÂ that faithfully bring Sanders“s whimsical artwork to life in three dimensions.

To date, Chris Sanders has had a prolific career inÂ character design, storyboarding, and co-wrote and co-directedÂ beloved animated hit films likeÂ Disney“sÂ Lilo & Stitch, as well asÂ How to Train Your DragonÂ andÂ The CroodsÂ forÂ DreamWorks Animation. His illustration style is immediately recognized for itsÂ vibrant coloration, pin-upÂ sensibilities, and imaginative aesthetic inspired byÂ tropicalÂ andÂ fantasyÂ themes.

Sideshow is working closely with Sanders to realize his two-dimensional art as detailed statues that capture all the same expressive energy as his signature cartoon creations. TheÂ first pieceÂ debuting in this new artist series will be theÂ Pumpkin Witch Statue, a magical pin-up figure inspired by the glamour and ghoulishness of the Halloween season.
