Breakout bestseller Grommets by Eisner Award nominated and The New York Times bestselling writer Rick Remender (Napalm Lullaby, Deadly Class, LOW), Emmy award nominated comedian and writer Brian Posehn (Deadpool, The Mandalorian, Scotch McTiernan: Holiday Party), artistic powerhouse Brett Parson (Tank Girl), and colorist extraordinaire Moreno Dinisio (Black Science) will be collected in its entirety into trade paperback and available this July from Image Comics.
Since the series first launched in 2024, Grommets has gone on to sell out at the distributor level and gone back to print multiple times. Sales for the series have increased from issue-to-issue as the story has gained momentum.
In Grommets, two outcast best friends navigate the Sacramento suburbs of 1984, where they find a home in skateboard culture and punk rock. The perfect read for fans of John Hughesâ Brat Pack teen movies, Freaks & Geeks, and Dazed & Confused.

Grommets is both an authentic look at â80s skate cultureâa snapshot of the generation that turned skating into a worldwide phenomenonâas well as a heartfelt coming-of-age story following two friends from troubled homes navigating their damage in an era when no one cared.
The seriesâ title springs from skater slang, a âgrommetâ is a commonly used term for a young up-and-coming skater or surfer. Since the â60s itâs been used to describe the next generation of kids who, with youthful exuberance, love the sport but want to put their spin on it.
âTo share such a raw part of ourselves with the world and have it received so warmlyâitâs truly the most any creator can hope for,â said Remender. âAt Giant Generator, we let creativity and love guide our choices, because thatâs the only way to connect on a sincere level. And when it does, itâs a beautiful thing.â
Grommets trade paperback (ISBN: 9781534366480, Lunar Code 0125IM460) will collect Grommets issues #1-7, the complete series, and be available at local comic book shops on Wednesday, June 25 and independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo
Grommets is also available across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play, and Omnibus.
