Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone #4 brings supernatural noir, cult horror, and monster mystery to Kickstarter.

Hell Is Almost Open: Hardboiled Detectives, Ancient Cults, and the Chaos of BIXBY GRANT, PRIVATE EYE: FANGS & BRIMSTONE #4

“Bixby Grant is a story that should not work but manages to succeed in glorious fashion. A perfect blend of horror and comedy in one can’t-miss series!”
—Scott Snyder, Absolute Batman

Even an immortal mummy can run out of time… and Bixby Grant is about to find that out the hard way.

RNM Press is fired up to announce the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone #4, the next explosive chapter in writer and creator Patrick Coyle’s acclaimed supernatural noir saga. This beast of a series keeps serving up a slick mix of hardboiled detective grit, occult horror, and monster-fueled politics, all wrapped inside a razor-sharp, character-driven mystery that knows exactly how to keep readers locked in.

Bringing this madness to life is a killer creative squad, with pencils and inks by Chilean artist Gonzalo Martínez (Road Story, The Quique Hache Detective), colors by Arthur Hesli (Thunderbolts, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), editing by Heather Antos, and stunning cover work by Declan Shalvey (Immortal Hulk, Thundercats) and Elsa Charretier (Harley Quinn, Star Wars). Letters are by Coyle himself, because when you’re building this kind of supernatural heat, you keep it in the family.

And yo… the pressure in Harbor City is off the charts.

If a fifth ritual killing is carried out by the twisted cult founded by Bixby Grant’s brother Max, a full-blown hellmouth will crack open and unleash Hell on Earth. No big deal, right? To stop that nightmare from popping off, Bix has already been through absolute chaos — chasing ghosts, getting his arm ripped off, tossing a cat burglar off a building, roughing up mystics, getting his brain poked at by a nine-year-old witch, and now finding himself trapped in the clutches of the shadowy monster society known as The Council Macabre.

With the help of Diego the rockabilly vampire — yes, that’s as awesome as it sounds — Bix starts pulling back the curtain on the killer who has picked up where his long-lost brother left off, all leading to a secret lair hidden beneath the streets of Harbor City. This ain’t just another case, fam. This is personal, cursed, and ready to drag the whole city straight into the fire.

Issue #4 also keeps the undead heat coming with the eight-page backup story Zombietown, featuring art by Argentinian artist Gonzalo Ruggieri (Rumble, Convert, Two Moons). This backup follows Detective Maritza Ramirez deep into the zombie-controlled quarantine zone known as Z-Town, where her search for answers about her father’s disappearance throws her right into the path of Il Cosa Muerte — the zombie mafia. Yeah… zombie mafia. This book knows exactly what kind of party it is.

Patrick Coyle sees Issue #4 as the moment Bix can no longer outrun his past:

“Bix is a member of the Silent Generation, which means he doesn’t talk about his feelings. Ever. Pain and trauma are locked away and ignored. But in Issue 4 of Fangs & Brimstone, Bix’s worst fears are realized – he uncovers proof that someone has taken up the mantle of his long-lost brother Max’s cult, and they plan to unleash Hell on Earth. If Bix can’t face and move past his one-hundred-year-old issues with Max, then humanity is doomed!”

This series is pure pulp fire with a supernatural noir twist, delivering the kind of monster-drenched mystery that feels tailor-made for fans of Hellboy, The Spirit, Batman: The Animated Series, The Goon, Gotham Central, and B.P.R.D. It’s got style, bite, and enough weird menace to keep noir lovers and horror fiends equally fed.

Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone is a six-issue follow-up to the successful graphic novel Bixby Grant, Private Eye: Wolf, She Cried, and this franchise already has serious crowdfunding juice behind it. The original graphic novel debuted on Kickstarter in October 2022, funded in just 12 hours, and went on to hit 257% of its original goal. So yeah, the readers already know what time it is.

Now the Kickstarter for Bixby Grant: Fangs & Brimstone #4 is calling on both longtime supporters and brand-new readers to jump into the next chapter of this creator-owned supernatural mystery. Exclusive covers, killer rewards, and one hell of a ride are on the table — but you better move before that hellmouth opens for business.

The campaign ends April 16, 2026, so don’t sleep on your chance to back one of crowdfunding’s most celebrated supernatural noir comic series.
