CALICO: Street Math Launches on Kickstarter on August 15!
Sigma Comics revealed its first trade paperback to the public today, at San Diego Comic-Con. Entitled CALICO: Street Math, the trade paperback book collects Issues 1-8 of Here Comes CALICO, its hard-hitting comic book and manga series, featuring the vicious antihero, The CALICO, who stalks and viciously murders people who torture animals. Despite its highly-graphic nature, the series is in very high demand, as evident by it selling out at virtually every comic book convention. “Here Comes CALICO is, unequivocally, the best-selling independent comic book and manga series on the convention circuit.” said H.H. German, Sigma Comics’ founder and creator of Here Comes CALICO. “We sell 100-150 pounds of it every weekend, all across the continent. While other big name publishers are still selling on Sunday, we’re already closed down,” said German.
As with all Sigma Comics books, the new Here Comes CALICO trade paperback is being crowdfunded through Kickstarter, and the public can now sign up to be notified of its August 15 launch here. Preview copies of the book are being made available at San Diego Comic-Con. “We’re excited at the launch of our very first trade paperback on Kickstarter, said German. “Due to high demand and the excellent venue, we’ve made preview copies available to a limited few at the convention.”
Sigma Comics’ flagship title, Here Comes CALICO, was released as a comic book in the United States in 2020, and has since sold very well at comic book and pop culture conventions all across North America. The company recently signed a distribution deal with Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. for additional reach into comic book stores worldwide. A web-ready image of the cover is available here. You can visit Sigma Comics at Booth L14, in the Small Press section of the convention.
