Chicken Wing Productions Launches Innovative Animation Studio with New Series “Flock & Roll”

Chicken Wing Productions, a vibrant new animation studio hailing from Buffalo, New York, is excited to announce the launch of its debut project, “Flock & Roll.” This groundbreaking series promises to redefine the animation landscape with its unique blend of gritty live-action and stylized animation. The show is set to captivate audiences with its audacious portrayal of a punk rock band of birds navigating the tumultuous world of music and friendship.

“Flock & Roll” follows the journey of “Fight or Flight,” an up-and-coming emo band consisting of five distinct avian characters: Whiplash Woodpecker, the driven drummer and founder; Rockin Robin, the charismatic lead guitarist and frontman; Punk Penguin, the passionate vocalist; Harmony Hummingbird, the melodious keyboardist; and Funky Falcon, the groovy bassist. Hailing from the fictional city of Wingchester, IL, these feathered friends face a series of trials as they strive to make their mark on the early 2010s emo scene.

Created by Sam Fesmire, whose diverse background as an actor, animator, and musician has uniquely shaped his creative vision, “Flock & Roll” is more than just a musical journey. The series will offer an innovative fusion of gritty live-action footage with punchy, stylized animation to vividly bring to life the adventures and struggles of the band. This blend will highlight the contrast between the bird musicians’ fantastical world and the real-life challenges they face.

“Flock & Roll” promises a refreshingly absurdist, yet mature take on themes of found family and teamwork, seen through the lens of a punk rock band of birds. With tensions mounting within the band and their out-of-touch high school music teacher managing their careers, viewers can expect a rollercoaster of emotions and comedic highs as Fight or Flight tackles the challenges of the music industry and personal growth.
