Act 4 Publishing & Skybound Share a First Look at Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist’s Edition

Skybound and Image Comics, in partnership with Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing, revealed an exclusive art preview from Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist’s Edition–EXPANDED. Experience Wally Wood’s true-to-size original artistry in this Artist’s Edition, arriving February 4, 2026.

Within these pages are some of Wood’s greatest artistic achievements, including his work on My World, Came the Dawn, Mars Is Heaven, Atom Bomb, Blockade, and many more! Additionally, more than a dozen classic covers by Wood are included. As an extra special bonus, the unpublished “Spawn of Venus” an EC Comics story intended for the canceled Three-Dimensional Science Fiction is included in this volume.

Featuring over 200 pages, Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist’s Edition – EXPANDED will include all 18 stories from the long out-of-print first edition, but that’s not all. An additional 10 stories will be included for the very first time, for a staggering total of 28 complete stories, and all at the same gigantic size (15 x 22 inches!) as the original art was drawn!

An Artist’s Edition is an art book disguised as a comic collection. Although appearing to be in black and white, all the art is scanned in color, enabling the reader to see the work as close to the original as possible – ink gradients, blue pencil, and all the unique nuances that make original art so special – are all clearly visible and printed at the same size as drawn. The only better way to experience these pages is by looking at the artist’s drawing board, as they’re drawing.

Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist’s Edition–EXPANDED is the latest chapter of the groundbreaking releases from the Act 4 Publishing and Skybound partnership. The previously announced releases include titles released in late 2025 (Jim Aparo’s DC Classics Artist’s Edition) and throughout 2026 (The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition, Darwyn Cooke’s The Complete Spirit Connoisseur Edition, George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition and Mike Mignola’s Hellboy in Hell Book 2 Artist’s Edition).

Other releases within the publishing partnership include J. Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl Artist Edition, Dave Stevens’ Covers and Stories’ Connoisseur Edition, Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, Paul Smith’s Leave It to Chance Artist’s Edition.
