Cradle of Filth returns to the Comic Book World!

The journey begins with Funeral in Carpathia, a haunting tale that unveils the dark secrets of Middle Ages Romania—a land where blood feuds linger, ancient vampires rule, and restless spirits haunt the night.

Written by Hector Lima (Megadeth, Heavy Metal) and illustrated by legendary comic artist Enrique Alcatena (Conan, Heavy Metal), this issue follows the tragic fate of a powerful vampire who, consumed by vengeance, must confront both mortal and immortal enemies. As alliances shatter and dark forces rise, Funeral in Carpathia sets a sinister tone for the stories to come.

Alongside these fresh narratives, Ruptura Comics will reprint the original five issues of Maledictus Athenaeum, previously released and eagerly sought after by fans.

“I’m incredibly excited about this new foray of Cradle of Filth into the comic book world,” says R.G. Llarena, Publisher of Ruptura Comics. “Having previously collaborated with Dani on Cradle’s Maledictus Athenaeum comics, I know we share the vision of offering fans a new way to experience the different worlds found throughout Cradle of Filth’s songs—telling stories that capture the dark beauty and intricate poetry defining the band’s legacy. ‘Illustrated fury’ best describes what we’re striving to achieve at Ruptura.”

Prepare to dive into the shadows and experience the dark artistry of Cradle of Filth like never before. Follow Ruptura Comics for release dates, exclusive previews, and updates on this spine-chilling collection.

About Cradle Of Filth:

Belched from Hell’s depths into the rustic charms of the Witch County, Suffolk thirty long and disturbing years ago, CRADLE OF FILTH are undisputed giants of the heavy metal realm. Imperious purveyors of a perennially unique strain of dark, dastardly and willfully extreme metal, with deep roots in the worlds of gothic horror and occult curiosity, the band led by Dani Filth has weathered three decades of tumult and trial, earning a formidable reputation as both a singular creative force and one of the most riotously entertaining live bands the metal world has ever produced.

From primitive early works like 1992 debut »The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh« to more expansive and theatrical classics like »Cruelty And The Beast« and »Midian«, CRADLE OF FILTH defied trends and constructed their own idiosyncratic world of foul grandeur, becoming one of the UK’s most notable metal bands in the process. Since then, they have traversed the world countless times, hoovering up plaudits and praise from an ever-expanding international fan base. Resolutely prolific, the band’s catalogue has grown in depth and stature all the while, irrespective of line-up changes or the whims of the faithful.
