Creatives from Minecraft, Daredevil: Born Again, Snow White, Star Trek, Lil Kev, and more at San Diego Comic-Con 2025!
For this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, excited film and television fans dove into the world of entertainment at Impact24 PR’s Panel Superblock Series, the ultimate destination for a behind-the-scenes look at projects like Minecraft, Daredevil: Born Again, Snow White, Star Trek, Lil Kev, and more!
The “Hollywood Game Changers” panel returned for its 6th year at Comic-Con, with a powerhouse of women leading the charge behind entertainment projects and companies! The discussion included stories about building your own lane in the industry and advocating for authentic representation both in front of and behind the camera. The panel featured co-founder of BirdMine Allison Norlian (Director of Meandering Scars), co-composer & music producer Angelica Camacho (Wylde Pak), Composer Erica Procunier (Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go), creative director Grace Davis (Wondla), makeup artist & designer Katie Machaiek (The Rehearsal), film and TV makeup artist Scotia Boyd (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), and cultural consultant Sue Obeidi (Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC)), and was moderated by actor, director, and co-founder of Not Your Daddy’s Films, Kourtney Bell.

On the panel, cultural consultant Sue Obeidi spoke about her work with the Muslim Public Affairs Council for muslim representation in the media. “Part of our work is to educate first and peel back disinformation, because a lot of stuff out there about [muslims] is not accurate. Our work is truth-telling through storytelling about authenticity. When [MPAC] consults, we are looking at, ‘Is the character authentic? Is the storyline authentic? Does it represent muslim communities?’ Hulu’s Deli Boys was a fun project because it was very authentic. The characters happen to be Muslim, but they were normal jerks in the story.”
The 2nd Annual “From Script to Screen” panel gave audiences a behind-the-scenes look at how creatives bring stories to life. The panel featured composer Bobby Villarreal (DORA), composer Denise Santos (Parachutes), TV writer Eden Rousso (Wylde Pak), director Erik Wiese (Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical), supervising editor Jon Griggs (The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives), composer Joshua Moshier (The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie), and composer Kenny Wood (Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado), and was moderated by actor Chris Villain (Mystery Incorporated).
Speaking about his work on The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, composer Joshua Moshier stated, “I wanted [the music] to come more from a sketch comedy perspective. I was mainly a Jazz musician playing shows in Chicago, and I would go check out Second City and meet amazing comedians to make stuff with. For Looney Tunes, my goal was preserving the spirit of Looney Tunes and really letting the drawings tell you how the music acts, because it’s hand-drawn by people. There is flexibility and agility that the music really has to follow.”

The 2nd Annual “Fan Favorites” panel dove into the world of popular film and television shows like Daredevil: Born Again, The Penguin, Minecraft, and more. The panel featured supervising director Andrew Schmidt (Wondla), editor James Thomas (Minecraft), composer Jeff Morrow (Snow White), VFX supervisor and 2nd unit director Johnny Han (HBO and DC’s “The Penguin”), co-composer Michael Paraskevas (Agatha All Along), composer Nikhil Koparkar (The Wheel of Time), editor Stephanie Filo, ACE (Daredevil: Born Again), and was moderated by executive producer at Shade Studios and host at ShadeTV, Marissa Hill.
Co-composer of Agatha All Along, Michael Paraskevas, told audiences about the specific sounds associated with characters from the show. “Traditional sounds and instruments you associate with Marvel heroes that didn’t fit [Agatha’s] vibe at all. We experimented and found that [the characters] all walked this line of having a more eerie ensemble of strings and trombones over trumpets and French horns, the traditional Marvel orchestral palette. This served as a magical foundation and was a blend of woodwinds and psychedelic guitars.”
The Impact24 PR Superblock Panel series ended on a hilarious note with the “The Making of LIL KEV from Kevin Hart” panel. Audiences were in for a treat as the panel took them inside the journey of bringing Kevin Hart’s real-life experiences to the screen. The panel featured creators/ executive producers Matthew Claybrooks and Michael Price, producer Allison Morse, art director Amanda Lake, voice actor Jayden Libran (Omar, Junkie, Amethyst Jones, Brian, Kev Understudy), voice actor Kimoy Lee (Dirty Dante, Soupy), supervising director Musa Brooker, and voice actor Nicole Aimee Schreiber (Ms. Green), and was mooderated by comedian/ voice actor Clayton Thomas (“Reverend Mooney”).
Reflecting on how the show is based on Kevin Hart’s childhood, creator/ executive producer Matthew Claybrooks said, “Everything comes from his life. In regard to his neighborhood, Kevin didn’t want to make it seem like he hated living there. That is one of the main things we had to push, to make his neighborhood a fun place. We walked around Philly to appreciate Kevin’s story, and how he got out of that and became this huge star.”
The Impact24 PR Panel Superblock series at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 provided audiences with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience, offering insights from industry experts from all sectors of entertainment. From development to post-production, audiences gained special access to the creative process, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the artistry behind today’s most talked-about films and television shows.
