A SCI-FI SAGA FROM SCOTT SNYDER, FRANK TIERI, RYAN SMALLMAN, AND TOM HARDY
The Epic Sci-Fi Adventure’s First Issue Launches November 13 with a Special Edition Hardcover of Volume One Available on Kickstarter
Dark Horse Comics today debuted a new trailer and pre-launch site, Arcbound.io, for its upcoming sci-fi series ARCBOUND written by Scott Snyder (Batman, Absolute Batman) and Frank Tieri (New Excalibur, Iron Man), art from Ryan Smallman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and creative contributions from Tom Hardy (Venom, Mad Max). ARCBOUND, Tom Hardy’s debut into comics, is a new 12-issue epic sci-fi event launching its first issue on November 13, 2024 with a Kickstarter for a special edition hardcover of volume one also launching in the coming weeks at Arcbound.io.

“Getting to build unique worlds that ask compelling questions about what it means to be human is both a privilege and one of my favorite parts of making comics, especially when the process is as collaborative as this book has been,” said Scott Snyder. “Tom Hardy, Frank, Ryan, and I have put all of our collective passion and creativity into this series. We’re beyond excited to announce the Kickstarter for our Special Edition Hardcover, which collects the entire first story arc along with interviews, designs, and loads of back matter— it’s the perfect way for readers to immerse themselves in the world of ARCBOUND.”
“Scott Snyder! Ryan Smallman! Tom Hardy! (yes, THAT Tom Hardy!) And of course… myself!” Added co-writer Frank Tieri. “Not only does ARCBOUND promise an all-star roster of creators but also a universe unlike any you’ve seen before—and there’s no better way to explore it than with this special edition hardcover, which even includes the option for signed bookplates by the entire team… yes, even from that Tom Hardy guy, too!“
Artist Ryan Smallman added, “This book has been a long time coming. Having the opportunity to bring this universe to life, striking the right visual tone for what Scott, Frank and Tom dreamed up has been such a fulfilling challenge. Seeing their excitement with every drawing and every page is always such a thrill— I’m psyched we finally get to share ARCBOUND with everyone!”
Ahead of the series launch, fans can head to Arcbound.io for more information on the series and to access its Kickstarter campaign. Backers of the Kickstarter will be able to obtain a special hardcover of volume one featuring one of three covers, including two limited edition variant covers from Tyler Kirkham and Boss Logic. The Kickstarter will also feature different autograph options, including tiers featuring a bookplate and exclusive print signed by the creative team.
“I have always felt that comics are a fantastic playground for the creative process, a process I’m continuously drawn to in all aspects of storytelling. From a small creative team comes epic worlds, built together without any budget constraints— the only limitation is the team’s imagination,” said Hardy. “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to work alongside such industry legends as Scott, Frank, and Ryan in helping to bring the ARCBOUND universe to life.”

Exclusive covers, autograph options, and unique rewards are just the beginning of what we have in store.”
