DARK HORSE COMICS SUPERHERO SAGA CONTINUES WITH “MINOR THREATS: THE LAST DEVIL LEFT ALIVE”

Grab your freeze guns and power gauntlets because Frankie Follis returns this October in Minor Threats: The Last Devil Left Alive! This five-issue story will be written by Patton Oswalt (DC Horror Presents, Black Hammer: Visions) and Jordan Blum (Edge of Spider-Verse, DC Horror Presents), illustrated by Scott Hepburn (M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games), colored by Ian Herring (Welcome to the Maynard, Masterpiece), and lettered by Nate Piekos (Black Hammer: Spiral City, The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion). The first issue arrives October 1, 2025 and will feature cover art by Hepburn, Jill Thompson, and David Aja.

Frankie Follis a.k.a the supervillain Playtime has hit rock bottom. Her criminal empire was left in ruins after her ex-lover, Scalpel’s, betrayal. The secret deal she cut with the superhero team The Continuum was exposed along with her secret identity—forcing

Frankie to flee and disappear off the grid. Three years later, she’s resurfaced, recruiting friend and foe alike to help her uncover a secret that threatens Twilight City.

“Frankie Follis’ rags-to-riches-to-ruin-to-vengeance saga comes to its explosive, jaw-dropping conclusion and we can’t wait to see how you react to it,” said Oswalt. “It’s a DOOZY.”

Somehow this is the biggest story we’ve ever told while also being a back-to-basics. It’s Frankie underground, assembling a group of new and old c-list villains to pull off an impossible mission. The Minor Threats work best as underdogs and this is them with their backs against the wall. Not only will Frankie have to come to terms with her supervillain career, she’ll also have to face all her broken relationships with Maggie, Scalpel, Pigeon Pete, the Searcher and more. This is the end of the road for a lot of our costumed crooks – so put on your domino masks and suit up for one last job. It’s gonna get bloody!”
