  • Doja Cat has lost 237,758 followers on Instagram, due to now-deleted tweets blasting her fans.
  • The rapper has lost nearly 299,970 followers in the last 30 days due to controversial comments.
  • Google searches for the rapper increased by 82% worldwide following the tweets.

Online Casinos comparison service CasinoAlpha.com examined Social Blade data to reveal that the rapper lost 237,758 Instagram followers after brutal tweets to her fans.

The loss of followers is a result of the rapper’s tweets made on Sunday 23rd July, calling out her fans for calling themselves “Kittenz” as their ‘fandom name’, telling them to “get a job”, though this name was selected by Doja herself following a Twitter Poll she conducted in 2020.

Recently the rapper mentioned that she is done making “marketable” and “palatable” music and “doesn’t care” if anyone is excited about it; following these comments, she lost 15,190 followers. The rapper has recently made multiple headlines for controversial comments, which can explain why she has lost a total of 299,970 followers in the past 30 days.

Tudor Turiceanu, Chief Editor of CasinoAlpha.com commented on these findings: “These antics may be part of a rollout for Doja Cat’s new album and tour. Recently, the rapper teased an upcoming single from her new project, “Paint the Town Red” by changing artwork for her previous projects to red on streaming services. Despite the antics and losing followers, Google searches for Doja Cat have increased worldwide by 82% just after the tweets were sent out.”

“It will be interesting to see whether Doja’s harsh approach to her fans will impact Doja’s upcoming nationwide tour and album release, with many fans turning their backs on the rapper altogether, as highlighted by her loss in followers”.
