First Look: Preview The First Arc Finale Of Daniel Warren Johnson’s Transformers #6

Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with leading toy and game company Hasbro, revealed an impressive lineup of variant covers and interior pages for Daniel Warren Johnson’s TRANSFORMERS #6, which closes out the series’ first story arc. The sixth issue of the smash hit series will be available on shelves in comic book shops March 13, 2024.

TRANSFORMERS #6 continues the Energon Universe and the all-new era of the iconic TRANSFORMERS franchise from Daniel Warren Johnson (Extremity, Do a Powerbomb) and colorist Mike Spicer (Stillwater, Murder Falcon). In the arc-ending finale, ONE WILL STAND. ONE WILL FALL. The Autobots vs. The Decepticons. This is the first arc finale, and someone isn’t going to survive.

In addition to the main cover by Daniel Warren Johnson and Mike Spicer, the stacked list of variant covers for TRANSFORMERS #6 includes a cover by André Lima Araújo (A Righteous Thirst for Vengeance), a 1:10 incentive variant continuing the connecting cover series by Orlando Arocena (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), a 1:25 incentive variant by illustrator Eric Canete, and a 1:50 incentive variant by Joe Quinones (Batman ‘89).

Eisner Award-nominated artist Jorge Corona (Middlewest) will join Daniel Warren Johnson’s TRANSFORMERS as series artist for the second story arc. The next arc kicks off with issue #7, which will be available in comic book shops April 10, 2024.

The Energon Universe officially began last summer with the surprise first appearance of iconic TRANSFORMERS character Jetfire in Void Rivals #1, introducing the historic new collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, with TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE comics finding a new home with the publisher. The Energon Universe recently expanded with the launch of Duke, a limited series from Joshua Williamson (DC’s Superman, Dark Ride), Tom Reilly (The Thing) and Jordie Bellaire (W0rldtr33) and Cobra Commander from Joshua Williamson, Andrea Milana (Impact Winter: Rook) and Annalisa Leoni (Oblivion Song). Fans should expect can’t-miss moments from every issue of the Energon Universe, as secrets are unveiled along the path to answering the BIG questions.
