First Look: Trial by Combat in Skinbreaker #2

Skybound and Image Comics shared the first look at Skinbreaker #2, from the iconic creative team of co-creator/writer Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead), co-creator/artist David Finch (Batman, New Avengers), colorist Annalisa Leoni (Invincible Universe: Battle Beast), and letterer Rus Wooton (TRANSFORMERS). The breathtaking action epic returns to comic book shops on October 22, 2025.

The second issue in the brand-new series features an intense battle for power, a choice that cannot be undone, and a threat that may doom them all. Skinbreaker is the story of a people on the verge of collapse and their fight for survival.

Will Anok follow his ailing father’s footsteps, or will he fall in battle? As the bloody power struggle shines in the light of the mighty SKINBREAKER, an even bigger threat lurks in the darkness beyond their village.

In addition to the main cover by David Finch, the cover lineup for Skinbreaker #2 includes a portrait variant cover by Finch and incentive variant covers by all-star artists Lorenzo De Felici, Eric Canete, and Tony Moore.
