Gold Key Comics Announces All New Series and Crowdfunding Campaign

“Sonic Saturn” PUBLISHER ANNOUNCES CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN TO LAUNCH APRIL 15, 2025

This spring, Gold Key Entertainment, LLC announces its intention to publish its third new series under the Gold Key logo. The iconic brand behind beloved titles like Magnus Robot Fighter, Turok Son of Stone, and Boris Karloff’s Tales of Mystery is rising anew.

Today, Gold Key in partnership with Anthony Carranza, announces their new title – “Sonic Saturn”

Sonic Saturn is a fast paced, sci-fi bounty hunting series set in an atomic age future where lawlessness reigns. Each issue follows Sonic Saturn, a bounty hunter, as he roams the dangerous Cassini Division, with his partner Orbit. Chasing cash with reckless gunslinging, sharp wit, and the ghosts of his past, Sonic Saturn’s journey is one of thrilling action.

The series combines the best elements of vintage sci-fi with modern storytelling—think Flash Gordon meets Blade Runner, with a dash of Firefly’s roguish charm. The books dive deep into Sonic Saturn’s complex past, his fight against the criminal underworld, and his quest to escape the clutches of those he once called family.

Gold Key is also soliciting new comics and graphic novel content. The work should be creator owned work that is new or has not been broadly published. We are looking for works that incorporate a vintage style and innovative, relevant, and engaging stories. Complete story arcs, developed projects, unique storylines/characters and works that do not involve superheroes are most likely to be considered for publication. Go to
