The Second Chapter of the Four-Part Limited Comic Book Series Debuts April 23
Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics, in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, revealed interior pages and the stacked slate of variant covers for Universal Monsters: The Mummy #2, the next chapter of the four-issue limited comic book series from Eisner Award winner and New York Times bestselling comics creator Faith Erin Hicks (Pumpkinheads, The Nameless City Trilogy). The latest installment of Hicks’ stunning new take on The Mummy will hit comic book shops on April 23. 2025.
Superstar writer/artist Faith Erin Hicks teams up with colorist Lee Loughridge (Standstill) to present a new vision of the iconic Universal Monster, bringing The Mummy to life like never before in this limited series.
In the second issue, ten years later, Helen Grosvenor surprisingly reconnects with her past at Cairo’s most famed museum. But nothing can prepare Helen for the truth as she’s confronted by an unexpected arrival who may be friend, foe…or something else entirely!

Universal Monsters: The Mummy is the fourth Universal Monsters series launch, following James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds’ Dracula (which netted Simmonds a BEST PAINTER/MULTIMEDIA ARTIST (INTERIOR ART) Eisner Award nomination); Ram V, Dan Watters, and Matthew Roberts’ Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives!; and Michael Walsh’s Frankenstein. The Mummy will be followed by additional new limited series pairing the biggest names in comics with pop culture’s most iconic monsters.
