REVIEW: DONT SPIT IN THE WIND #2 (OF 4)

The second installment of “Don’t Spit in the Wind” is upon us as it jumps right in where issue one left off. Written by Stefano Cardoselli with the help of Brian Long, we see the Clear Worlds Atomic Truck making its way through earths waste as the team sees something of concern and immediately calls into the support team to ask for help. Unfortunately for them, Travis who is sitting in the help center is babysitting a hangover and is in no rush to supply the support he has been hired to provide. Quickly things change for the worst!

In order to understand issue 2 you need to have the foundation for this story from issue 1. The story is a unique one that takes place in a futuristic world where waste has left it inhabitable. People have escaped earth and are now living in space to escape earth, yet they seem to be making the same mistakes.

There is corruption everywhere which helps make for an interesting story. As one could imagine supplying resources to two billion people living in space is difficult at times.

There are lots of surprises in this issues as twist and turns take place every other page. In issue two we are beginning to see the what we think are the villains, yet not 100% on who the hero’s are, or if there are any hero’s at all.

There is no doubt that a greater message about the abuse of an indulgent society is something that should be of concern. Although Don’t Spit in the Wind takes it to an extreme, you can see the nature of humans even in a world that has been left unlivable, still has classes of people, corruption, and evil.

It will be interesting to see where issue 3 takes this story after finishing issue 2, but we are here for it.
