We begin this issue with the history of Duke and what he means to the US Government. Yet what Duke has experienced recently is causing behavior changes. Something is different this time with Duke and Colonel Hawk wants answers. I will not go any further as to not spoil this issue. I will say if you are loving what Skybound is doing with the Energon Universe, Duke is going to be an issue you do not want to miss.
Written by Joshua Williamson, the DC Comics writer who has tackled The Flash, Justice League, Batman, Green Arrow, Knight Terrors, Heroes in Crises and so much more. Joshua grew up a big G. I. Joe fan which is evident in Duke Issue one.
The art is done by Tom Reilly who has worked with Marvel on titles like Ant-Man, Wasp, Fury, X-Men, with DC Comics on Superman, Action Comics and more!
Duke Issue 1 is a sure recommend for me.
