REVIEW: Duke Issue 2 (of 5)
Duke issue 2 has arrived and after the massive hit Duke 1 was and the anticipation for issue 2 is high. Great news is Joshua Williamson and Tom Reilly have come through. The pacing of issue 2 was excellent. Great action scenes which led to a great ending with Duke and others in a little trouble.
So far Duke has been an excellent action/spy story. Everything Duke thought he new about the government has changed and caused him to be on the run. This leads Duke to a surprise visit to an old friend. Almost immediately the action begins!
Tom Reilly seems to have the perfect art style for Duke. Tom has worked on some big titles for Marvel Comics that include X-Men, Morbius, Thor, and Immortal Hulk to name a few. Tom has also worked with Dark Horse in addition to Skybound.
Joshua Williamson is a New York Times best selling author. He has written for nearly every comic publisher with creator owned works such as Ghosted, Birthright and Nailbiter. You will know Joshua’s work with DC Comics where he has written for just about every title from Flash to Superman, Batman to Justice League.
