REVIEW: GI JOE RAH SATURDAY MORNING ADV #1 (OF 4)

Story Thus far:

In G.I JOE #1, Cobra Commander and his minions find Aladdin’s lost lamp.  Sub- sequentially, he uses one of his wishes to update the BATS Robots by making the larger.  The Joes who are always up to the task, must find a way to defeat the all- new gigantic BATS before Cobra Commander terrorizes and takes over the world.

Art:

Amazing! It reminds me of the old cartoon where they utilized Toei Animation Co., Ltd,  a Japanese animation studio. The art team consisted of  Dan Schoening, pencils ; Luis Antonio Delgado, Colorist ; and Neil Uyetake for lettering.  If only the other GI JOE titles could adapt the same style?

Script:

Though the look and humor rely heavily on the 80s cartoon vibe.  But the timing could not be more fortuitous.  As of the writing of this review,  tensions between Global competitors have risen to an all-time high.   In the meantime, the discussions on the  ethics of  unmanned war machines have waned, yet the research on how to make it a reality has risen.  But one thing that G.I. JOE has demonstrated over the last 30 years is that  B.A.T.S. do not react very well to changes in field conditions, nor do they discriminate between targets.

Speculation:

GI Joe A Real American Hero Saturday Morning Adventures #1 unfortunately, will go ignored by the speculation market.  The even though the BAATS are intriguing a new character and an incentive could have pushed it a little further.    B.A.T.S., also known as B.A.T., was first released as part of the fifth series (1986)

GI JOE RAH SATURDAY MORNING ADV #1 (OF 4) : will have three covers: CVR A  Dan Schoening; CVR B Megan Huang; CVR C 10 COPY INCV Billy Penn
