REVIEW: GROO – In the Wild Issue 2

GROO issue two of a four part series hits your local comic book stores this week. Like many of GROO’s travels, issue two begins with the never satisfied hunger of one the of the greatest warriors ever to walk the land. One of the most cherished characteristics of GROO is his inability to read a room, in this case read a village. He always feels welcomed even in the face of rarely being welcomed. This story starts off in this familiar territory.

GROO and his trusty four legged partner Rufferto travel village to village looking for the delicious Ortix for their next meal. In the meantime an army is chasing him, well kinda. There is only one way to find out what is really going on, and that is to pick up this classic tale. The humor does not disappoint.

Co-Written and Created by the one and only Sergio Aragones and co-writer Mark Evanier, GROO and his adventures come to life in the four part series. If you are a fan of fantasy and comedy then this is the perfect combination for you. For over forty years Sergio Aragones has brought to fans the many adventures of GROO the Wanderer. This is a definite recommend for this week.
