Review: Marauders #11
In the previous issue of Marauders #10 The Resurrection five were having troubles resurrecting Kitty Pryde after she was murdered In Marauders #6, By Sebastian Shaw the Black King.
After several attempts in failures at resurrecting Kitty the inhabitants of the island initiate a Vikings burial.
The action of the story begins with quite a reveal as lucky the dragon Returns after having thought been lost at sea immediately goes to Emma to reveal who had killed Kitty Pryde.
Emma who is now arms with the knowledge of who killed Kitty Pryde and how she died, is now driven to bring her back. It turns out that there is something unique about her physiology, she is out phase. It looks like what the story is trying to indicate is the fact that part of the resurrection process is that the final part of the process is that the mutant who is now reborn has to break through the barrier of the husk, but Kitty she doesn’t breakthrough barriers she just faces through them . Which in a way solves the mystery of why she cannot go through the barriers or portals of Krakoa as something to do with her phase shift powers.
The other little Side Story that was in Marauders 10 was a meeting between Dolores Ramirez who works at the S desk and a rural Monroe often known as storm. Dolores Ramirez whose family has been pendant under cold medicines for the health of her mother had been feeding information to the mutants in order to stave off illegal and potentially fatal medicine an storm was there to thank her for the information And give her free samples .
The art done by Stefano Caselli and supported with color art by Edgar Delgado Gave Kitty Pryde an exceptionally beautiful funeral. It did very well to display the affection in ceremony by the meetings however, all that ceremony and pomp and circumstance were undone by the facts of the rest of the story.
At the end of the day Marauders #10 is a good issue the resurrection stuff happening little too quick for me I was expecting to have it a little bit later especially with the fact that I would have expected that such an important character such as Kitty Pryde would have had one issue dedicated solely to the funeral all by itself and not have so many things happening um all at once and that’s all my only complaint .
Marauders #11 will have two covers: Cover A Russell Dauterman Cover, and the Cover B Incentive Javier Rodriguez Days Of Future Past Variant Cover.
SCORE: 4 out of 5 stars.
