REVIEW: Maskerade Vol. 1

Maskerade Volume one is upon us covering the first 14 issues. Now is a great time to get your hands on this vigilante story. It follows Felicia Dance, a social media mega star by day, vigilante by night. Felicia and her brother were abused as children. Her little brother was murdered and Felicia was tortured. Years later that pain still exist and she is on a mission to find those responsible.

This is a fast pace story that has lots of action and Felicia is at the forefront of that action. She also has some detective skills that really plays a role in her exacting revenge.

Written by Andy McElfresh and Kevin Smith. Yes, Kevin Smith the screenwriter, actor, and huge comic book fan. He has created some classics like Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Dogma to name just a few. He has been awarded with two Independent Spirit Awards, Sundance Film Festival, Harvey Award, MTV Music Award to name just a few. His partnership in co-writing with Andy has produced an amazing comic that is a must read.

Andy McElfresh is an incredible writer having written for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, wrote the screen play for White Chicks, MTV, Comedy Central to name a few.

The art was done by John Sprengelmeyer. He is the co-creator of Masquerade and has worked with Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, Marvel, Warner Bros., Netflix to name a few.
