REVIEW: Saturday Morning Adventures: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Issue 11

Issue 11 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures is the third and last part of “The Two Swords Meet” arc. Shredder has the forever sword he stole while stuck in the past and the turtles need to come up with a plan before Shredder uses the sword to do something that will be difficult to reverse.

No fear, as always, they come up with a plan! Another issue full of action and fun. The simple and fun stories in this run bring back a nostalgia that any TMNT fan can enjoy.

Written by Erik Burnham. Erik has worked on Ghostbusters, Red Sonja, Scarlet Spider, Back to the Future, Transfomers/Ghostbusters, The Raptor, Vampirella, Simpsons, and Marvel Action: Spider-man to name a few. His latest title is on pre-order called TMNT: The Untold Destiny of the Foot Clan releasing later in March.

The art is done by Dan Schoening who has worked for IDW, DC Comics, Archie and Random House, and Boom Studios for titles like TMNT, Ghostbusters, Transformers, Batman, Wonder Women, DC Super Friends, and the upcoming title The Cult of that Wilkin Boy Initiation with Cullen Bunn for Archie Horror Comics and more.

The Saturday Morning Adventures by IDW is a perfect entrance for all ages to experience comics for the first time in addition to longtime fans that desire those story lines that bring back memories of waking up early to take in all your favorite cartoons on Saturday Morning. Erik and Dan as well as the rest of the team on this title do just that.
