REVIEW: Savage Dragon Issue 267

This week we got Savage Dragon 267, a huge 100 page issue as the celebration of 30 years of Savage Dragon is finally here. Although there is a continuation of Savage Dragon in this plus sized issue, we also are treated to several other stories by Erik Larsen!

It starts off with the wedding of Frank and Angel! After years of this relationship heating up the big day finally arrives. In Larsen fashion, this issue is a mature read, like really mature. It has everything from a huge fight seen, to lust, cheating, defeat, and of course a wedding.

That is not all! After receiving a regular sized Savage Dragon story we also get a story with North Face in Hearts of Stone written by Tom Pinchuk with art from Nikos Koutsis.

We also get an 8 page story, of Amy, Jack, and Tyrone Dragon in Gentrify. This story is funny and it is action packed.

Lastly, we have a few Vanguard stories by Gary Carlson, Erik Larsen, and Sam Grainger reprinted from the Megaton days.

All together this issue has something for everyone. A total of six stories in an amazing 30 years of Savage Dragon 100 page mega issue.

Erik Larsen, one of the original Image Comic founders and current CFO of Image Comics deserves a lot of recognition for his run of Savage Dragon. An incredible 30 years and 267 issues, Savage Dragon is one of the longest running comic book titles which is an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations to Erik Larson!
