REVIEW: The Seasons Have Teeth #2

The Seasons Have teeth issue 2 continues to follow photographer Andrew as he chases the physical embodiments of each season. We saw in issue one Andrew chase Spring. In issue 2 Andrew is looking for Summer. This is one of the more unique stories I have seen for a comic, and it is captivating!

The Seasons Have Teeth was created and written by Dan Watters and Sebastian Cabrol. Dan Watters is best known for his work with DC Comics writing Lucifer for the Sandman universe. He has also written Sword of Azrael, House of Whispers,  and Lazarus Planet: We Were Once gods, Batman Urban Legends, and much more. He has also written Home Sick Pilots, Coffin Bound, and 24 Panels for Image Comics, and Loki for Marvel Comics to name a few.

Sebastian Cabrol is best known for his work with Marvel on the Falcon, Berger Books Anthony Bourdain’s Hungry Ghost, and Avatar Press, god is dead.

In issue 2 we see Andrew’s chase of Summer. From page one we see him with other photographers flying over a burning city that has displaced thousands of residents. The continue flying until five miles or so away. It is here Andrew see the residents hungry and frustrated as one could imagine seeing their homes and city taken over by Summer. Yet Andrew has one thing on his mind, finding and taking the best picture.

A young photographer jumps a fence fueled by the ambition of capturing the perfect photo. He does not see Andrew following behind. You will want to purchase the first two issues to get anymore of the story. It will not disappoint.

The Seasons Have Teeth is a four part series following the four seasons.

If you are looking for a great horror-thriller then this is the comic for you. Easily one of the best and unique independent stories of the year.
