Let’s judge this book by its cover… Creepy is an understatement. The harrowing look in her eyes is both sinister and beautiful.

Would you sacrifice your beliefs to escape hell? Would you lie to your captures and yourself? Sometimes holding on to your true self is enough to keep the demons at bay, but when Dancy finds herself in hell with only one way out will she stand her ground or cave.

This book is chillingly sad, the idea of hell inside is one of the scariest I’ve seen. Fire and brimstone has nothing on the nothingness Dancy faces. With only memories of her final moments and echoes of the last words she heard “I love you” for all of time.

The art is fantastic, even the simplest of panels showing nothing more than a lonely Dancy sitting against a white backdrop is done well, showing isolation at its purest.

This one gets a big thumbs up and 4 stars from me.Â Bring on January for issue 2!
