Let’s judge this book by its cover… Witches, monsters, evil clowns and modern-day heroes all make up a visually stunning cover, the detail and colours compliment each other very well.
Leaving their magical realm for a more normal life a prince and his princess now live with their two children in a normal house on a normal street in our normal world. That is until beasts from their former lives track them down and try to kill them. Now this royal family must defend not only their new world from monsters and magics but also travel to the land they left so long ago. It’s a good thing they’ve been training their children for this ‘just in case’ moment.
An interesting take on Magic and myth with a modern twist, getting to see enough of both worlds both past and present the story never slows.
The family secrets will no doubt lead to some interesting interactions later on and The last few pages reveal a twist that i didn’t see coming. The two artists have very different styles and although the change is very noticeable it doesn’t take away from the story or enjoyment as both artists are very good.
I was lucky enough to meet Phil Winslade last year at comic con and he was one of, if not the nicest guy there. He thanked me for taking my comic to be signed and talked to me about it (Wonder Woman Amazonia) for a long time, he didn’t rush me on like so many others. such a modest artist with amazing talent.
If you like modern fairly tales, monsters and magic then this is the book for you. Sadly it’s only a three issue run, but I cannot wait for issue two. A full 5 stars for this.

- Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
