ADVANCE REVIEW: Lara Croft and the Frozen Omen #1

G’Day Raiders!

This is Dodgy86 back into the mix bringing you Lara Croft and the Frozen Omen # 1 by Corinna Bechko with art by Randy Green and Andy Owens.

Lara Croft is back in her Tomb Raiding ways! In this book she’s either helping her friends by rescuing injured raptures on cliff faces or working for the British Museum.

During one of her shifts in the museum a prized item goes missing, The Croswell Reindeeer!! It is an item which is carved of a Prehistoric piece of Mammoth Ivory. Investigations lead to one of the museum staff member, Lara goes into Tomb Raider mode to investigate her trusted colleague and find the motive. The results will lead to strange things ahead!

It is nice to see her back in her Tomb Raiding attire we’re used to from the infamous gaming franchise. This is a good first issue with an element of mystery in the storyline, Bechko does a good job of keeping suspense and leave you hanging for more.Green and Owens’ art does compliment the storyline and the light colours give life to the comic.

The only critique: It is unrealistic for anyone (including The Tomb Raider) to carry guns everywhere she goes, whether at work in the office, walking the street and especially through the international airport.

Other than that, it is worth a look especially fans of the game! Do ya’self a favor, check it out!
