Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Clan of the Golden Dragon Gomez Figure Review
Today in the Toyverse, we switch things up. Usually I have a big video review, but considering how behind this figure was in coming, I would rather knock this out in an article. So Mezco delivered a really amazing set of con exclusives, and although I missed the initially order for the Golden Skull, I was able to snag Mezcon box set. And packed inside that box was a ton of goodies, but one cool goodie was the Clan of the Golden Dragon figure. So let’s not waste any more time, and see what this bad bug is all about.
So outside of the packaging, you get Gomez decked out in some pretty cool ninja gear. Now previously, we have seen the ninja outfit with overseas versions of this guy, but this time Gomez is in a nice yellow ninja scheme with black trim. The outfit looks great. From the gauntlets to the shoes, to the costume, it all works seamless. Add in a wired hood, and you have one pretty cool ninja Gomez. I really love how the character catches your eyes. If nothing else, Mezco always seems to hit a grand slam with this in house creation.
As for accessories, this mean bug has been packed with a ton of cool items. So packed in side are six extra hands for a ton of posing options. A set of claws, a set of spiked short hand blades. A staff with a with a blade at the end, a bow and arrow set, a mini grub(decked in yellow and gold and black,) a boombox, four throwing stars, four grenades, nun-chucks, and a dagger. And that is just one tray! I really am impressed with the wide range of variety found with Gomez.
As for the second tray, you get even more fighting options. You get two swords, one shorter sword, two long sai’s, a sword sheath, three kunai, a kusarigama, a kyoketsu, and a grappling hook. All these items look just as good as well. Also included are two alternate heads which really look really good in this color scheme. Beyond that, you get this really cool purple smoke effect, and the usual Mezco figure items for Gomez. Flight stand and base, and some stickers for the boom box. Also you get a backpack and several pouches for the ninja warrior. And if that wasn’t enough, you get a cloak, and magnet clip to have Gomez doing wacky and crazy things lol.
Overall, this release was really solid. he looks great, and offers a wide variety of options for display and toy photography. Mezco has been really solid with all of their Gomez releases, and this one is right up there as well. If you can get your hands on it, do not miss out.
