REVIEW: A Brigand’s Tale #1
G“Day Crusaders,
This is Dodgy86 in the mix bringing you A Brigand“s Tale by Daniel Tribe (story and art). Published by Bolt Comics.
Following the last Guild War, The Hunter“s Guild is all but wiped out. Now two surviving members are trying to rebuild this Guild, they build an army of five. They are lead by Brigand a humanoid dog, a fox who is 2nd in command, a cat who is a sharpshooting archer, a sorcerer koala and lastly a panda who is the muscle and motivated by food. Together they take on the army who defeated them.
It is a tough ask for the guild, not when one of them is a Hyperbreed!
The them looks like it is set in ancient China, some warriors wear traditional armour and straw hats from that particular era. This book is well written, the story is not overly complicated to follow. The actions show what’s happening. Bolt Comics are known for making their books for all ages – compared to The Adventurers, A Brigand’s Tale is sightly darker in contrasts by showing death and violence (not graphically).
Hopefully in the next issue they will show more of the character bios of The Guild.
All in all it’s a really good read, do ya’self a favor and check it out!
