The Creative Team:

Peter J. Tomasi keeps the superkids busy trying to bust out of juvi in this issue. It’s Robin’s turn to shine as he turns up the detective skills in order to find his friends and Joker Jr. The obstacles in his way include Junior versions of some of DC’s greatest villains. Tomasi keeps the reader guessing as he throws out some crazy characters that have adult counterparts including junior members of the Green Lantern corp. ”¦ or are they? It’s a fun read as we follow the son of Bruce Wayne on what could turn out to be a wild goose chase. Will he be able to get himself and the son of Clark Kent, whose been kept away from the sun in order to block his powers, out of this dire predicament? Great stuff includes the guards realization of how to treat their new subjects and Robin’s detective skills in action.

Carlo Barberi and Matt Santorelli have the right balance between realistic illustration and satirical etchings which honors Tomasi’s words and creates a distinct feel for this title. These drawings help to play up the humorous moments in the story and make it well worth the cover price. Highlights include the battle of the boys and Grundy’s attack.

In Conclusion:

The Super sons have gotten themselves into quite a predicament as they face creatures they’ve never faced before. Have they got the wits and skills necessary to out smart their captors and find their way home? Can they break out and stay free?
