REVIEW: Art Ops #1
Art Ops #1
Written by Shaun Simon
Art & Cover by Michael Allred

Letters by Todd Klein
Let’s judge this book by its cover… The Mona Lisa is free from her frame. She looks a lot more menacing in the cover then she does inside. It’s great cover. The detail is amazing.
Now if you’re sitting comfortably we can begin… Someone is stealing famous works of art so it’s up to the Art Ops to find out who and stop them. Firstly, they need to make sure they don’t get their hands on the Mona Lisa, how? By removing get from her frame and replacing her with a stand in. Once out Lisa goes into witness protection until the agents can find the mastermind behind the thefts. Art is alive and the Art Ops job is to protect the art that needs help and stop the art that means harm to other. How will they stop a man-made of graffiti from killing?
What a great idea, it’s so unique it was fun to read and the art made it even more of a pleasure. The story flows nicely, the characters are likable. Overall for a first issue it hits a lot of the markers I look for.
A strong 4 stars for this work of art.

- Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
