REVIEW: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Playground Heroes

Let’s judge this book by its cover… Darker tones and cross hatched artwork; this cover is just ok.  The faces aren’t great but the scene itself does its job.

It’s unclear is this is a prequel or set after the movie. Jacob is going on a class field trip with Clark Kent when aliens attack and Superman jumps into action. This book is about more than Superman punching some aliens, it’s about learning what makes a hero and how one person can make a difference no matter how small. The art inside is a lot better than the cover art; the action picks up quickly and is drawn very well while Jacob tells us what’s happening and how it makes him feel. Great book for yet another freebie. Another great lead up to the movie and A great one shot that’s worth 4 stars.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
