Well, with that last page, something tells me I may be dropping the World’s Finest in their monthly book starting with the next issue. Nothing against that particular character, but I’ve been on the fence about this series for a while, and with the amount of work/school I have this year, it makes sense to drop it now before it grows stale for me.

As far as this particular issue goes, I liked certain aspects more than others. Seeing Clark duke it out with Aquaman was enjoyable, though that fight went basically as one would expect. The continuing conflict between the Man of Jeans and Bat-Bunny can get a bit old after a while, because, to be quite honest, it shouldn’t take an entire arc to just put aside one’s differences with a fellow superhero and save the world. Get it together, guys.

In art, the vast amounts of contributing pencilers/inkers, aided by both colorists, really enhances the entire book. All the characters pop, and despite the fact that I admittedly don’t love the new Aquaman look (90s Peter David run, anyone?), the narrative is clear and exciting throughout.

This issue rounds out the Truth arc for this series, though it’s springing directly into the next arc, so if you’ve gotten this far, and you end up liking this issue, definitely do come back for the next installment of the Man of Jeans/Bat-Bunny reluctant partnership.
