Let’s judge this book by its cover… Demons. What more could you ask for… Well actually it’s pretty ok. Doesn’t give any indication of what’s going on in the actual book. It’s pretty static. Would have liked more of a dynamic action scene. But it’s nice enough.
So Rhodes and his family (wife and two boys) are demon hunters and is now in prison because he refuses to give the location of his two boys to what we can only guess is a very bad man named Agent Kylen. His boys seem to be able to take care of themselves, Especially since one of them is 6′ tall and built like a steam train. They’re on the hunt for a demon named Sameal. The biggest baddest demonist naughtiest chap there is. Good luck with that lads. Meanwhile Rhodes wife has a pregnant winged warrior watching her back. And oh look at that, we were right about Agent Kylen.
I have to say I was surprised at how Much I liked this book, I thought “oh great, another demon hunting comic” but actually it’s rather fun. The story is interesting and the art is lovely which are two of the three things I look for In a book, and although it doesn’t have the third thing (originality) very few books do these days. Over all though very pleased I got to read this one. I might even check out the next issue even if I’m not reviewing it.
Easily jumped on in this issue even though I’m sure I’ve missed a lot the book didn’t treat me like an outsider. It welcomed me with open arms and got that it a well-earned 4 stars.

- Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
