REVIEW: Captain Canuck #10
G’Day Crusaders,
This is Dodgy in the mix bringing you Captain Canuck # 10 by Kalman Andrasofszky with art by Leonard Kirk, colors by Juancho and letters by Andrew Thomas. Proudly published by Chapterhouse Comics.
Our friends up north in Chapterhouse HQ have been sharing the hype on social media of their new Superhero known as Northguard, what intrigued me is that he wears the same colors of the Canadian flag as Captain Canuck. How could they fair in the same book?
The Gauntlet Part 4: Conduit, Team Equilibrium meet the Mysterious Northguard. What is Northguard’s vendetta with Bluefox? Can Captain Canuck and Team Equilibrium contain their rivaly before Mr. Gold and his minions spring into attack mode?
Kalman, nails it! Gives us readers a back story reference in the opening pages which doesn’t lure us away from the high intense action that follows! We get big golden blob monsters with machine guns, oh my! And look out for the surprise at the end..
The let down is the art, it feels rushed at times rushed especially the shading and the colors in particular the red is distracting as it is too rich.
Thank you Canada! For fans of action and need something else to read, do ya’self a favor and check it out!
