REVIEW

The Halliwell sisters””Piper, Phoebe, and Paige””are the Charmed Ones. Together, they alone have access to the greatest source of pure magic the world has ever known… the Power of Three. The Power of Three was threatened when their dead sister, Prue, was resurrected in the body of a coma patient. For a time, the sisters“ magic was thrown off

balance… but now, having relinquished the Power of Three, Prue has been imbued with the magic of the Nexus of the All, a mystical convergence with untold potential. Though the Power of Three is once again in harmony, Prue must never leave the location of the Nexus, or the sanctity of magic as a whole will be compromised. This is the story of the four Halliwell sisters”¦

OH-MEH-GAUD!!! Ok, so I was a huge fan of the show, and completely forgot that Charmed was also a comic book series! I was so freaking excited to have the opportunity to read this, and even more honored to review it! Okay, I“m gone being a fangirl now…ahem, moving on.

As if I wasn“t excited enough just to read the book, I also find out that Prue is back? Score! So we“re not doing reruns. The story plot has expanded along with the cast. The writer, Pat Shand does a great job with following the blueprint of of the show, keeping the character“s personalities exactly how they were remembered from the show. The creators of the comic even heard the fan“s cries and bought Prue back and made her part of the team, so it“s going to be very interesting and exciting to see how Prue and Paige interact with each other.

So even though I“m a huge fan, this review isn“t all  flowers and sunshine. My only downside to the Charmed comic is the artwork. I was really hoping and expecting more from the art. It wasn“t bad, but it wasn“t great either. I understand that the content of the book won“t be as grand as the cover, however I“d like to see more detail. All of the scenic scenes we good, and one of the final pages, a close up of an foreshadowing demon, was fantastic. If I could have had that detail throughout the book, I would have been very happy.

Long and short, if you“re a fan of the show, the comic book surely won“t disappoint! Great action, growing story, same sarcasm!
