Let’s judge this book by its cover… Amazingly dark, the twisted look on Jacks face is both disturbing and hilarious, the use of coloured for just his eyes and blood make this cover. I LOVE this cover.
So Nimble Jack is back and he’s hungrier then ever, he feeds on insanity while having as much fun a possible. Declan Thomas has a unique gift, he can cure insanity in people, his gift comes at a price however and that price is every time he cures someone he gets colder, his body temperature drops, if he gets too cold he could fall into a coma or even die. Thinking he killed Jack on their last encounter Declan is trying to live a normal life with his girlfriend until Jack comes back for seconds. With an all you can eat buffet in the city Declan has to choose to either use his gift to cure the city and starve Jack while slowly killing himself or let Jack get fat off the poor souls that walk the streets.
The crazy doesn’t stop for a second in this tale of this Lord of a nightmare realm that feels like reading a day in the mind of the Joker, Nimble Jack even has the white skin and sinister smile of the crown prince of crime but to be honest, it works. This book is great, its total lack of sanity make some pages weird and trippy, the nightmare realm is very disturbing with captured children and eight legged demon dogs. Jack commands the realm with a wicked hand and forked tongue. Jack is an absolute loon and total star. You don’t get the ending you expect which was a great twist.
The art throughout is flawless with some great chapter dividers. The writing is cleaver and witty and at times very funny. The story is paced so well that the whole book flew by. I couldn’t stop reading once I met Jack. I have to go back and read the first trade to get the whole story. If you only pick up one trade this month make it this one.
As a fan of horror and dark comedy this book was made for me. 5 stars for this one.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
