REVIEW: Dark Corridor #2
Dark Corridor #2
Written and Illustrated By Rich Tommaso
Publisher: Image Comics
Let’s judge this book by its cover… Strippers, guns, blood money and used car lots. It’s not my taste but it represents the story perfectly.
If you’re sitting comfortably we can begin… There are two story’s inside so I’ll start with the first… Obviously.
The Red Circle Part One – Nine and a half years ago, Carter is in jail having a meeting with his lawyer. Carter is told his appeal didn’t go well and he’ll have to serve his full four years. His cell mate mouths off and Carter smashes his face into the toilet and kills him. Flash to now and Carter is out and has killed a guy with a wrench. We go back 18 hours to see what happened and Carter has come into some cash and is spending on cars, tv’s, booze and women. At the end of the night he ducks out in a $9000 bar tab and the club owner follows him outside where Carter caves his head in. To be continued. Carter is so unlikable it’s hard to care. The art is childish and so is the writing. Some of his lines make him sound a little slow.
The next story is called 7 Deadly Daughters. A woman and her dog attack and kill a man and a woman. Three other woman show up to make sure she is ok as they have others to kill. To be continued. That’s all there is to this story. It’s a nothing, filler story. This whole book was just weird cartoon violence and sex. I’m sure it’ll have a fan base but it’s not for me.
The Good, the Bad and the Star rating…
The Good – It’s short.
The Bad – It’s not short enough.
The Stars – bad story telling combined with bad art make it less then compelling. 1 star for this one.

- Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
